Coronavirus Statement

Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak in the UK we would like to advise you of the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our staff so we can continue to supply our Laboratory equipment to our customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The majority of our staff are now working remotely as advised by the UK government to reduce non-essential travel and personal contact.

SciQuip has maintained a full stock of laboratory and clinical products to assist our customers during the current crisis.

However, we have drastically reduced the number of staff working within our headquarters to only those required to process and despatch orders especially those required for critical on-going research into Covid-19.  All staff on the premises are practising a minimum 3m social distancing at all times, constant door/hard surface sanitising and regular hand washing.  We reiterate only essential staff have been retained on site with 95% now home working.

We are updating our practices daily in compliance with Government & Public Health England’s guidelines.

COVID-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways caused by a virus called coronavirus.  There is currently no specific treatment for coronavirus.  Antibiotics do not help, as they do not work against viruses.  Treatment aims to relieve the symptoms while your body fights the illness.  If you have symptoms you'll need to stay in isolation, away from other people including family members until you have recovered.  There is no cure for Coronavirus so far and currently hospitals can only treat the symptoms.

This is why we MUST ALL  follow the official government and WHO guidelines aimed at reducing the spread of the disease and the speed of infection in order to greatly reduce pressure on vital clinical resources and to prevent them becoming overwhelmed.

For more up-to-date information on the current coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, visit the  https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019  or https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus websites and please follow all official advice.
